Every File Tool (EFT) provides a variety of scans to identify and delete all types of duplicates from a computer. It saves time by identifying all types of files and makes one choose what to delete and to improve disk storage. EFT can detect duplicates of the same size, content, name, or file. Adjust the file size limit manually to remove duplicates and help the hard disk perform better.
There are Four Modes of Duplicate Cleaner in EFT:
Modes | Working |
File Scan | File scan will scan all duplicate files. This includes documents, images, videos, audio, and archive. |
Media Scan | A Media scan will find all duplicate videos and audios for you. |
Photo Scan | A photo scan will identify all duplicate images only. |
Document Scan | A document scan will find all duplicate documents from your computer. |
Detailed Steps
Step 1: Click on “Duplicate Cleaner“, then click “File Scan.”
Step 2: Click “Add” to add a folder. You can add multiple folders as well.

Step 3: You can choose between the content of files, size, and name. Turn on the size limit of the files to be scanned according to your need. You can select Minimum file size and maximum file size accordingly. For example, the minimum file size selected here is 16KB, and the max file size is 1GB. It will display results according to the file size that we have provided.

Step 4: Click on “Start Scan” to scan for duplicate files.

You can see that EFT has begun finalizing duplicates. It also shows the total files from a provided folder and processed files.

The whole scanning process takes just a few secs to accomplish the process.
As you can see below, files are gathered in the form of groups. On the right side, the preview area section will show images and can play videos with audio sound.
Step 5: After a successful Scan, you can choose between Newest created file or the oldest created files. Don’t know what to do? Ideally oldest files on your PC are original ones. The most recent or newest created files are probably duplicated ones. So, when you want to copy, move or delete any of the files, you must make sure which one is original and which one is a duplicate.

Files creation date and time are crucial factors in this scenario. Here is our recommendation, if you want to delete duplicate files, select the newest created files and delete them right away.
Caution* Files that are deleted using EFT will not go to the Recycle Bin. So, make sure what you’re doing in order to not get lost your data.

Now click on Export Result, if you want to Export Results to HTML or a CSV file. Otherwise, skip this step.

Repeat the same process if you want to use other features like Media Scan, Photo Scan or Document Scan respectively.
